Similar to cloisonné, plique-à-jour is an enameling technique in which the enamel is applied in cells. Unlike cloisonné, the style has no backing in the final product, so light can shine through the transparent or translucent enamel. In these enchanting butterfly earrings, pink enameling creates their wings while diamond accents make them shimmer. Cicada is recognized for its striking designs inspired by the Art Deco and Art Nouveau movements as well as the natural world. Each exceptional piece is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail by master artisans in New York City.
